MAIF Social Club – Art, Culture, and Community in the Heart of Paris
The MAIF Social Club is more than a museum, it’s a vibrant cultural hub where art, ideas, and community meet. Founded in 2016, this unique space offers exhibitions, performances, talks, and workshops centered around values of inclusion, solidarity, sustainability, and accessibility.
What to Expect
Whether you’re looking to explore contemporary art, join a hands-on workshop, attend a performance, or simply relax with a coffee, MAIF Social Club is open to everyone, and completely free. Visitors are welcome to:
- Explore interactive exhibitions like Chaosmos, which reimagine how we live on Earth.
- Enjoy artist residencies, creative kits, and inclusive audio experiences designed with partners like Lunii.
- Participate in community programs that promote eco-awareness and social innovation.
A Historic Setting
The venue itself has a story to tell. Once home to a school attended by Honoré de Balzac, the building has served many purposes over centuries, from a toy shop to a Holocaust memorial. Today, it’s a modern, multi-use space designed for cultural exchange and reflection.
Café by SAIN Boulangerie
Located inside the Club, the café serves up artisan pastries, seasonal salads, and gourmet sandwiches from chef Anthony Courteille and his team at SAIN Boulangerie. Everything is made with care and a focus on responsible sourcing. It’s a great place to take a break, meet friends, or work remotely.
Library & Kids’ Corner
The on-site library features over 4,500 books and multimedia items, covering topics from art and digital culture to sociology and ecology. A dedicated children’s area includes books, games (including braille editions), and educational materials for all ages.
Why Visit?
MAIF Social Club isn’t just a place to see art, it’s a place to experience change, learn from others, and imagine new futures. Whether you’re curious, creative, or just passing through Le Marais, it’s worth a stop.
